End of Season Wrap-Up and Refunds

A Message From the President

Thank you all for your participation in what could only be described as an extraordinary season. We were very privileged to play and hope our football family in Victoria get back on the pitch with summer football as soon as possible.

The Club CONGRATULATES both U15A, who are Division 2 Premiers and MAA6R who also came top of the table, impressive results in the 2020 season.

Kit Return

Players, please organise to return your shirts to your manager. MANAGERS – kit return will be at Karuah Oval on Sunday 18th October between 2pm and 4pm.

Trophies/End of Season Gatherings

Most managers have collected trophies, please contact your manager directly if you have not received yours. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we could not host a Presentation Day. If you do organise any end of season gathering for your team, please note, they are not club sponsored and be mindful of the current COVIDSafe requirements of the location and time of your gathering – and keep your 1.5m distance.

Thank you…

Our club thanks all the players, parents, coaches and managers for your flexibility, patience, and respect to the COVIDSafe restrictions put in place this season. My personal thanks to all our volunteer coaches and managers, game day leaders, and of course our hard-working volunteer committee. My first season as Club President was not as one would hope, however together as a club we were able to safely play football. The member support has been great, and I hope to see it continue into 2021. As with all community clubs, TUFC is run by volunteers and all support is needed and welcomed by our Committee. Please consider your ability to support the club by volunteering in some capacity in 2021.

A big thank you to our two training partners, T3 and XLR8 who have provided players and coaches alike with inspiring training sessions, during the depths of winter and the heat of the final few weeks.

Refunds

We appreciate your patience with respect refunds due to most members, due to the shortened season. We needed to delay providing refunds until this point to ensure the refund is an accurate reflection of the 2020 season. We are offering a partial refund ($20 juniors, $50 seniors and $40 for development team members). We offer two options –

  1. being a refund to a nominated account
  2. allow the club to keep the refund as a donation. Donations will be used to offset the added costs the club has had this year and to keep membership fees as low as possible for 2021.

If you would like a refund, please complete the form here. This form needs to be completed by Sunday 18th October to receive your refund.

This is a link to a secure portal where you can input your banking details to receive the refund. If you do not supply your details by the above date, your refund will be automatically donated to the club. You will need your FFA number to complete this form.

The refund amount was based on a review of all the costs to enable members to play football in 2020, and considered the following:

  • Coaching costs – all junior teams received pre-season training, therefore received at least 18 weeks of training
  • TUFC had limited ability to fundraise during this year
  • Reduced teams’ fees – The NSFA reduced team fees due to the shortened season for most age groups
  • Increased costs of field hire, hand sanitiser and other fees associated with adhering to COVID-Safe policies.

Looking forward to 2021

The off-season will be extremely short with the late finish to the 2020 season with all committee members already working hard on preparing for 2021. Please look out on Facebook and on your emails for information about development program trial dates, coaching plans for 2021 and our Annual General Meeting to be held in November – new committee members, particularly age coordinators and coaching coordinators are always welcome.

Thanks again,

Kylie Chambers
